Research Interests

 

1. Total Synthesis of complex bio-active molecules such as Prostaglandins,
2. Polycyclopentanoidal natural products eg Coriolin, Capnellene, Protoilludanes and marasmanes
3. Synthesis of Anticancer agents such as the diterpenoids Taxol and Phorbol esters.
4. Development of novel synthetic methodology employing the photohemical reactions such as Oxa-di-p-methane rearrangement and Sigmatropic 1,3-acyl shifts and related reactions in bichromophoric systems.
5. Molecular Recognition: Synthesis of concave polycyclopentanoids.
