About MWQC :
The idea of Mumbai Workshop on Quantum Chemistry (MWQC) originated with Prof. B. L. Tembe to
connect the students of India with the eminent scientists in a pedagogical setting. Modern quantum
chemistry packages has made running applications far easier and intuitive than ever before. The spirit of
this workshop is to provide the underlying theories behind these quantum chemistry packages and
demystify their black-box like nature.
The workshop features rigorous lectures on theories from first principles along with modern applications
of such theories to real and relevant problems. The sessions run in a small classroom setting with both
black-board and powerpoint talks. Particularly, discussions and questions are strongly encouraged, both
in and out of sessions.
