Ph.D program

We seek bright and enthusiastic researchers to join our Ph.D. program, which focuses on the exciting intersection of molecular synthesis and device fabrication. We offer three research projects, each tackling cutting-edge challenges in this field.

Eligibility: A valid JRF qualification (CSIR/UGC-NET/GATE) is required to apply.

Research Projects:

  1. Synthesis of Dynamic Redox-Active Systems for Molecular Switches in Tunnel Junctions
    • Master's degree in Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, or Electrochemistry.
    • Prior experience with electrochemistry is highly preferred.
    • Ability to deal with systems like CV, probe station, and glovebox.

  2. High-κ Dielectric Liquid Metal Oxide Synthesis for 2D Semiconductors
    • Master's degree in Materials Science or a B.Tech. in Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
    • Basic understanding of field-effect transistors, 2D materials, and device fabrication techniques.
    • Prior experience working in a cleanroom and glovebox environment is highly preferred.

  3. Electrically Pumped Organic Optical Waveguides for Resonators and Lasing
    • Master's degree in Materials Science and Organic Chemistry.
    • Experience with organic synthesis is a plus.
    • Familiarity with microscopy techniques is preferred.
