Arxada’s materials for composite applications Primaset® Cyanate Esters are a novel class of high-performance thermoset resins. They are characterized by glass temperatures up to 400°C (800°F), very good dielectric and mechanical properties and an epoxy like processing. Areas of use are electronics (as low dielectric matrix resin in copper-clad laminates CCL and IC substrates), aerospace (matrix resin in composites for commercial and defense applications), space (matrix resin in composites, adhesives and syntactics), automotive and industrial composites and compounds. Primaset® Cyanate Esters are available as monomers, oligomers and prepolymers to cover a broad range of available viscosities for diƯerent composite technologies (like prepreg, RTM, filament winding, pultrusion etc.). Primacure® alkylated, aromatic diamines are high quality components utilized as chain extenders or as curatives. Primacure® products are easy to combine together with polyurea, polyurethane or epoxy resins. They oƯer beneficial mechanical performance and chemical resistance at a low level of toxicity resulting in less worker risk in industrial settings As epoxy hardeners they provide improved use temperatures, moisture absorption and impact resistance.
