We are interested in finding novel catalytic systems for the synthesis of fine chemicals in a realm of green and sustainable approaches. Our prime interest is to design stable and recyclable multifunctional catalytic systems utilizing non noble metals to be applied in catalysis. In addition, to study the interface between two major domain of catalysis i.e. molecular and heterogeneous catalysis and to overcome the challenges associated with it. These catalytic systems will then be applied for the various synthetic transformations utilizing renewable raw materials, for the generation of feedstock chemicals in a sustainable manner.
The major research areas are:
- Surface Organometallic Chemistry
- Photocatalysis
- Tandem Catalysis
