Talk Title : "Unlocking Chemical Innovation Through Mechanistic Design and Multicatalysis."
Abstract
In this seminar, I will present our group’s research in catalytic chemistry, shaped by these challenges and opportunities. Our approach is founded on three interrelated strategies: (1) the development of new organic transformations through mechanistic design;[2,3] (2) catalyst development guided by detailed mechanistic understanding;[4,5] and (3) the creation of complex transformations through relay multicatalysis.[6–11] Each of these strategies will be illustrated through recent examples, highlighting not only the synthetic utility but also the broader conceptual advances. I will also outline our ongoing efforts aimed at further expanding the reach of catalysis in chemical synthesis.
