Dr. Rob van Daalen who is a publisher at Elsevier responsible for journals
in Green, Physical and Theoretical Chemistry will be here with us on 11
Feb.

He will be conducting an Author workshop for younger scientists. This is a
great opportunity especially for students and post docs to learn from the
publisher about publishing.

Here is a short description of the workshop.

Practical guidelines for preparing good scientific articles and ethics in
publishing

This workshop is intended for students and younger researchers who may not
yet be very experienced in publishing articles in international journals.
During the workshop practical guidelines will be given on what steps have
to be taken before writing a paper, how to prepare and submit a good
article, and how to deal with referee comments. The last part of the
workshop will consist of publishing ethics, plagiarism and author
responsibilities.
