We are interested mainly in the field of Molecular Biophysics and Chemical Biology with focus on lipids and lipid-induced signaling pathways. One aspect of the work is to investigate the biophysical properties of unsual lipids from bacterial origin with emphasis on disease management and biotechnological applications. Use of high-pressure perturbation approaches to understand the structure and function of such lipid membrane systems. We are also interested in exploring lipid molecules as chemical biology tools to study cellular signaling pathways involved in infectious diseases.
